The first album from Zooey Deschanel-M. Ward collaboration She & Him was called Volume One, so it’s fairly predictable that their follow-up is going to be Volume Two. Rumors of the album have been trickling out over the past week or so, and now we have a confirmed date – She & Him’s sophomore album will drop March 23, 2010.
Volume Two’s tracklist includes covers of NRBQ’s “Riding in My Car” and Skeeter Davis’s “Gonna Get Along Without You Now” as well as eleven original songs. One of the originals will have guest vocals from indie rockers Tilly and the Wall – a group I’ve been getting into a lot lately, so I’m happy to hear new things they’re working on.
She & Him will also be touring in 2010; hopefully more details on those tour dates will come out soon.
