Pyramus & Thisbe by…The Beatles?
As you probably know, today is Beatles Day. Apple Corp. is releasing a full set of completely remastered albums (which, as far as I know, Big Scott is still hoping to receive for Christmas), and the hotly anticipated The Beatles: Rock Band is hitting game consoles around the country courtesy of EA/Harmonix.
But enough of those things, which you can read about anywhere. You Ain’t No Picasso dug up this awesome 1963 clip of The Beatles performing the Pyramus and Thisbe play-within-a-play from Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The Fab Four and the Bard? Sign me up. It’s laughable, which is, of course, very fitting to the spirit of the piece.

One of the many things that made the Beatles so great, the ability to not take themselves too seriously. Great find.
