MJ: “This is It!” Tour
It’s the moment you all have been waiting for! Michael Jackson live and on tour! Ok, I’d actually rather see The Appleseed Cast at the night club up the street than pay 100 bucks to see an aging pop star (he’s fifty years old now!) do the moonwalk; but regardless, this is pretty big news.
The king of pop has announced that he will perform 10 concerts in London starting in July which he has described as his “final curtain call.”
“These will be my final shows performing in London. ‘This Is It’ really means this is it,” said Jackson, “I’ll be performing the songs my fans want to hear. I’ll see you in July and I love you so much.”
The shows will take place at London’s now famous, 20,000 seat ‘O2 Arena’ starting July 8. Tickets will cost between £50-75 ($70-105) and will go on sale on March 13.

as absolutely nuts as MJ is, he is still one of the greatest of all time. no denying the. the man, before becoming creeptastic, was the king of smooth when it came to dancing. he’s created some of the greatest pop songs of all time and it would be worth $100 easily.
can’t believe that he is already 50 years old.

I know. It makes me feel old too.
I didn’t mean to belittle MJ’s presence in the industry. You’re right that he’s done so much. “Thriller” is easily in my top ten albums of all time. Easily. But it’s also super easy to make fun of the guy.

You know, I’d probably still pay $100 to see MJ perform, just so I could say I saw MJ perform. I bet the man is still going to put on a killer show, even at 50 years old, and even if this is just a way to get himself out of debt.
Wow, I can’t believe it has already been 8 years since he released You Rock My World. I’m getting old. But yeah, even 8 years ago, the man was as smooth as ever and still making some great music.

How is it that I’ve never seen that video? Kick ass stuff.

I know. Brando, Michael Madsen, and, uh, Chris Tucker. If I remember correctly, this video premiered just a couple weeks after 9/11. It hit pretty high on the charts. Do you recognize the song itself?

Not really. I like the other bad guy in it though – from Untouchables and Palookaville.
